Queen's Wharf Lighthouse, 1920s

It was the hope of many Toronto residents and officials that this, the old lighthouse, built in the early 1860s, and served mariners in and out of the Toronto bay for more than fifty years, would be preserved. The old western channel used to be where Fleet and Bathurst Streets are today, near where this lighthouse is located.
