The Photograph Archive

The Toronto Star newspaper has archived published photographs, and also many unpublished photos, each day for the past century. The photo archive includes images, in more than 15,000 subject categories, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the world.

Toronto Star photographers have won numerous national and international awards for their outstanding work, including a Pulitzer Prize, awarded in 1994 to Paul Watson for his photo of a dead American soldier being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu.
